After decades of the Indo-Portuguese community’s existence in Macao, thanks to the efforts of the community from Goa, Damão and Diu, the long-awaited association of the Indo-Portuguese community residing in Macao was officially registered at the registry office on 11 December 2006, under the name “Goa, Damão and Diu Cultural Promotion Centre” (NACGDD).
With a glass of wine in hand, everyone present raised a toast to the launch of the NACGDD and, of course, to its success and longevity.
For years, Macau’s small but vibrant Indo-Portuguese community has been promoting and showcasing the art and culture of our beautiful and rich homeland in Macau.
THE REGISTER
The Goa Damão and Diu Cultural Promotion Centre (NACGDD) was officially published in the Macao Official Gazette No. 51, Series II, dated 21 December 2006, of which the Goa Damão and Diu Dance and Song Group forms an integral part.
